One of the firm’s founding partners, Jonathan has been with GHLD for more than 20 years and is a recognised specialist in the field of inward investment. Primarily working with corporate groups that have UK operations but are headquartered overseas and with clients spread across the globe, Jonathan is familiar with most of the key taxation and reporting issues that impact upon an international group’s UK activities.
Recommended by the UK Government’s Department for Business and Trade as a member of their advisory network for inward investors, nearly all of Jonathan’s clients have been referred to him based upon personal recommendation. His portfolio includes foreign corporates, some of which are well known brands, spanning a range of industries from real estate and manufacturing, defence and technology, through to fashion houses and a major university. Jonathan has also developed an extensive network of contacts across many global accountancy and law firms who frequently refer their clients to him for advice on touching down in the UK.
Married to Jo, a psychotherapist, they have two adult sons. Away from accountancy he is a member of the Critics Circle writing and broadcasting as Jonathan Baz, an independent arts critic. Jonathan enjoys travelling, collecting rare Islay whiskies and is an executive producer in the film industry.
