Prior to founding GHLD’s legacy firm Grant Harrod in 2003, Jonathan led the Inward Investment group in PwC’s London office. A recognised specialist in that field, he primarily works with companies that have UK operations but are headquartered overseas. With clients spread across the globe, Jonathan is familiar with most of the key taxation and reporting issues that impact upon a business’ UK activities.

Jonathan has an extensive network of contacts with many global accountancy and law firms, also working alongside the UK’s Department for International Trade as a proud member of their Advisory Network for inward investors. His international portfolio includes foreign corporates that are well known brands that span a range of industries from real estate and manufacturing, through to fashion houses and major American universities.

Jonathan also acts for a number of prestigious UK companies, as well as private individuals across a variety of industries.

Married to Jo, they have two adult sons. Away from the office, Jonathan is an independent arts critic and writer and is also a collector (and sometime savourer) of rare Islay whiskies.
